What should you look for in a residential investment property for
buy to let purposes ? That's a question that would take more
than this web page to provide a complete answer. There's a lot more

here's a few pointers.
The investment property must be appealing to the prospective
tenant. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, as you won't be
living there.
Your investment property must be in the right location e.g.
near transport facilities, near a major employer, near university.
There must be demand for that type of investment property
e.g. 1-bed flats, terraces etc.
There mustn't be too much competition. If you see a forest of 'To
Let' signs on 1-bed flats, then the market may be saturated in that
area. Look for a property type which is in demand, but has lower
supply. Or look in a different area.
